After the ressurection of Gibbs with the help of the Dual Divinity, the Scaled Company sets out for Fellcross. Alarms have been raised as the orcish incursion to the north has possibly jepordized the Fey Wild, awakening a hidden terror by the name of Bainsolas. Time is of the essence and the last thing that any of us need is a highway robbery. Picking up the pace we are met with many refuges in need of assistance. When I was a young youth there was a show on Nickelodeon called Double Dare. "...so I guess my options are flee or fight. I'm going to fight" -Sir Rhogar I truly am proud of this particular episode. I wanted to squeeze as much in as I could while still allowing the listener a finality to an event. After chasing an army on the field of battle and breaching the walls of their escape, we are faced with troubles. Moraly flexable ones at that. Not to ask the listener to picture the trolley car dilema, but imagine an unreliable narrator telling our heroes exactally what they wanted to hear until time ran up on the rouse. Now, replace that narration with a mirror. You gas yourself up so much you can shoot to the stars only to find you've impacted an asteroid. The responsibility becomes our own to keep those arround us safe from the shooting stars. In that moment, a leader is defined, a decision is made, and a dice is rolled to find out who gets the honor of removing a royal smile at the neck. Ritten is burning. We created the spark. And on our first battlefield, we will have to extinguish the flames in blood. Our own blood. That's right it's a battle episode. All killer no filler. As our adventure continues in Suffork, the realization hits our players that we noble 35 might be the bad guys. After a failed mission in which our troop lost half of its force, it was important to get our confidence back. Hired by a hidden patron while being tasked with the classic robbery of grains leads to distrust and a tenuous hold of leadership from Orco, our resident orc warlock. Tempers flare from interrogation practices as each member wonders who they are really working for, if not for themselves. Such distrust has forced each Talon to forfeit the hidden task charged on each group, some of which tasks tend to contradict eachother. A child in peril, a tattoo hand to be removed, arson as a tribute to good fortune, and a unaccounted troupe of 7 splitting off to investigate a hidden cult. Welcome listener to the very first episode of a new season of Dungeonetics. We have a new cast of players with seasoned veterans alongside first timers. Carefully constructed by DM Jon Francia, this all original campaign will bring you into a vibrant world of banditry and intrigue. The kingdom has been pushed to the edges of corruption from a ruling class who has not listened to its citizens. Travel between dutchies is fraught with danger from scoundrels and rogues looking to lighten the gold off of any mark. Consider the following. Ever since the intellectual awakening of humankind, we have been telling stories to pass the time. Be it Gronk who was able to harness fire to save his tribe from eminent disaster, to the alleged stories Shaharizad told her bertroved to survive just another night, each are equally important for the storyteller and its participants. Our players and skilled DM have woven a narritive which I hope has inspired you, yes you listener, to weave your own reality with others. Obviously the first step is the hardest, and scarriest. But, given the correct atmosphere and open acceptance, you too could have what I have felt in my soul. A tale so vivid and shared, it means more than the reality of its parts. I can feel Arj slicing through a spider's thorax, the pulse of Rush as he topples cultists in a mad dash for survival, and can feel the wardrobe change of a victorious Florence deciding between leopard corset or polished segmented leathers. That's what makes this all the more sorrowful when I say this is the last episode of season 2. Blame, well, you know. Please consider Out Of The Abyss as a fantastic campaign to run on your own time, and feel free to share the results. I'm sure you might have vastly different results... but not as much fun as we have over the course of these almost 2 year recordings.
