Grab. Those. Usher. Tickets.
Ever found yourself in the middle of a sibling squabble about something as silly as a podcast intro? That's exactly where we land at the start of our latest episode, setting the stage for a whirlwind discussion that's part deep dive into black culture and part light-hearted familial shenanigans. We're sparring over Usher's timeless charm, musing on our favorite tracks, and even debating whether a latte should turn into a full-blown feast when someone else is picking up the tab. Buckle up for a joyride through music history, the weighty spectrum of representation, and the unwritten rules of coffee etiquette.Strap in as we navigate the choppy waters of financial boundaries in relationships, all while our living room turns into an impromptu DJ booth. We're not holding back on calling out each other's tendencies to turn a bill into a financial game of chicken; you might even catch yourself nodding along as we recount those all-too-familiar moments of shared living. And for those of you wondering, "Is it just me, or do hotel room carpets always feel a bit icky?" you're in good company. Prepare for nods of agreement and bursts of laughter as we share our personal hotel stay deal-breakers.Wrapping things up, we don't just tell you where to find us online; we're pulling back the curtain on the realities of social media promotion and the ups and downs of staying updated in the fast-paced world of music. Whether you're here for the behind-the-scenes sibling antics, the soulful sounds of R&B, or the social intricacies that make our lives so richly complex, this episode has a beat you won't want to miss. So tune in, and let's get this familial symposium started! We let the AI write this one. Enjoy!

Gang Prevention Task Force
There was a time where Deji was wearing skinny jeans, Ed Hardy T-shirts and oversized fitted caps. These "selective" outfit choices almost got our man jumped in the middle of the AMC. It's time for us to address some things, the fraudulent gangsters of the world and Suki's smear campaign against the movie theater. Y'all think we can get some black movies without pain and struggle? Like box office hits? Or are we doomed for consistent hardship and trauma depictions? Big black dogs, cheese sandwiches, and YES another Will, Chris, and Jada take. Why would you give a child a sandwich with no meat on it? Gallivanting Through The Wood
In this week's episode, we talk about "trapping for travel". There were many times in our adolescence where the only means of transportation we had was BUS 11, please let us know if you are familiar with this reference. Walking was a way of life for us, it was really the ONLY dependable mode of transportation we had for a LONG while. Subsequently once we got old enough to travel by driving, we talk about how we were riding dirty, and how our parents were accomplices in our dealings. If you parents ever told you stories about how far they had to travel for a bucket of water to bathe, this is the episode for you. P.S. Welcome to all our new listeners, we see you and to our day one listeners we see you too! Grave Circumstances
In this week's episode, we are talking about being stranded and the tolls it can take on you. We talk about the times where we felt left for DEAD and how we over came the circumstances. We also talk about those we lend on for help and those we know we came depend on, even talking to whether we think we can depend on ourselves.A reoccurring theme from the NBAGT podcast makes another feature, Deji telling a story incorrectly and Yemi having to fill in the gaps he's missing, o so common. Maybe one day he'll just admit his memory just it's where it used to be or never was...ANYWAYS, we hope you enjoy this week's episode. Guile & Finesse
Flexing and finessing is the way ONLY way you can make it through in this life. In this episode, we share the stories of licks we've hit and the licks that hit us back, wins and losses are equally important to talk about. Deji relets on his criminal past and speaks about a time he got caught up in a sticky situation. We also talk about where the hustle mentality comes from in both of us and how we've been able to get ahead with the little help we've had. Class is in session friends, keep the notes app open or get you a pen and paper. We are dropping gems. Gloved Up
Question for the listeners(we would actually LOVE to hear your answers): What are you fighting for? Deji's answer to this question could either be the corniest thing or the sweetest thing you'll hear this week. Either way, this week we talk about BOXING! We recently started taking boxing classes and wanted to share our VERY different experiences with the listeners. Just want to let you know now, one of us is like Muhammed Ali in the ring and the other is like Martin from that boxing episode of the show. We will let you guess who is which. Drinking game for the episode, take a shot every time you hear Yemi say "omo". Save this for the weekend though, could be a long night. And as always enjoy the episode and share it with your peoples, these episodes are getting GOOOOOOOOOD! Guest Who?
In this week's episode, the topic is HOME and what home truly means. The Legend at Hand is a tale about unwelcome house guests and people over staying their welcome. We talk about the differences between being hospitably and being "fake hospitably". We also cover moments in our lives that made us redefine the meaning of home and the challenges of trying to create a home environment when your foundation isn't the strongest. Seems dense but, of course with these two difficult conversations are manageable. There's also slight coverage of Deji's questionable outfit choices, which is FAR from new for the G's. Hope you enjoy the episode! Here is the direct app link for Newsly:https://newsly.me/ Don't forget to use our promo code "GTHING" for your 1-month free premium subscription
Guarded & Greedy
In this week's episode, we recollect Deji's "troubled" adolescent years...seems like our very own "spirited oga" wasn't always the sweet and jubilant person we know him as today. We also talk about self-governance and setting boundaries with self. Boundaries are important to establish with all relationships worth keeping but, do we do the same with ourselves? Sometimes you have to be guarded, sometimes you have to be greedy; here we talk about when it's important to be both.
Going Green
Happy New Year! We know, we are late but, in true Nigerian fashion, we will be wishing you a "Happy New Year" just as long as we haven't seen you. It's still a new year for US. In this episode, we talk about "going green" and doing our annual juice smoothie detox cleanse, which we don't recommend but if you are feeling bold enough after listening to our unique experiences, try it, and let us know how you did. There has been a new segment added to the show, and Yemi tells the tale of Goldielocks and Three Bears, in a way only she can.Question for the listeners, if you always burn your first batch of food while cooking, can your cooking skills be labeled above average? If you are curious about what this is referring to, be sure to tune in!

G Day
This week's episode is all about Deji...(nothing new really) but "why?" you may ask. This was because in this week's episode the topic of discussion was Deji's birthday, s/o to all the sagittarius' out there. Deji had a week FULL events and had his tribe in for a wild ride. The week commenced with a "Sneaker Ball' which was also the official launch of Deji's shoe cleaning and restoring business: omo_cleanskicks. We also cover what makes Yemi so hard and thicker-skinned, seems like the layers for her are starting to peel.
God Bless These 20Somethings
In this week's episode, the sibling's world tour has FINALLY come to an end. Cheers to the last music festival of the year! It's truly been a journey. Day n Vegas was everything and more. A moment that will surely last the test of time and the culmination of a graduation gift finally fulfilled 3 year in the making...SZA...just SZA(that's all we need to say for now)! Hopefully, this was a nice and untraditional introduction to get to know us. Now it's time to get into the real conversations but, always with a touch of fun! The "world tour" has ended but, the journey of the "Nothing But a G thing" Podcast has only just begun. P.S. please excuse our momma she just wanted a little attention in this week's episode. -Deji

Get (US) Outta Here *New York Accent*
In this week's episode, Deji and Yemi talk about their misadventures in the Big Apple. This stop on their "world tour" brought to life (again) some of their most recent growing pains..seems that Deji's season of selfishness is bringing some realities that are hard to face. The two siblings also discuss nurturing their inner children by doing the things they have always wanted to do. This is by far the best episode yet. It is filled with laughs, love, and a whole lot of witty banter.
Georgia Again?
Deji and Yemi are in Atlanta again...It might not make sure since right now but it will. This time in Atlanta these two siblings were treated more like locals than tourists. Yemi was left shocked by something she didn't think would happen and Deji got, got. Maybe you should proceed with a little bit of caution when traveling to ATL...

Georgia...Georgia
In this week's episode, your new friends talk about their most recent trip to Atlanta, Georgia. It has been over two years since the dynamic duo had been to One Music Fest. This week the listeners will get to hear some of the more annoying antics that make Deji a lot to deal with, but at the same time, you find out why he is so endearing. In addition to that, there has been a new segment added to the show that Yemi has titled..."God Damnit Deji Does it again or GDDIA." We hope you enjoy this week's episode and if you have time in your life, find your way to Atlanta because it's just one of those places you gotta be.
Going Through Some Changes...
A short, yet dense episode (Yemi was having a moment and Deji forced her to stay on schedule with recording.) In lieu, of the seasons changing Deji and Yemi decided to talk about moments in their lives that caused them to change. Change on the way they treat each other, the way they interact with others, and how they walked through lives with themselves. Yemi also talks about how she doesn't care for colder weather and fall in general. "One thing you will learn/pick up from this episode is sometimes (most times) when Deji is wrong I will just let him work through the story until he realizes he is wrong on his own. It doesn't always come right away but, when it does the feeling is so sweet." -YemYem

Good A$$ Summer
In this first episode, Deji and Yemi, your lovely co-hosts, waste no time with the typical introductions and get right into the mess that was the last three months of their lives. This summer the duo decided that "We Outside" was going to be their mantra and made sure they were outside so much the streets even knew their names(in a good way of course). Deji and Yemi talk about maintaining a work-life balance, jumping into new opportunities/business ventures, relationship ups and down, and all the fun and shenanigans in-between. Both these co-hosts believe with every adventure, comes an ever memorable lesson and you will hear their perspectives on that as well. Most importantly you get a glimpse into what this best buddy, brother-sister, dynamic duo call LIFE. With that being said, Welcome to The Nothing but a G thing Podcast, and thank you for tuning in!
