[Children Book: The Proud Rose] Once upon a time there was a rose who was very proud of her beautiful looks. Her only disappointment was that she grew next to an ugly cactus. Every day, the rose would insult the cactus on his looks while the cactus stayed quiet. All the other plants in the garden tried to make the rose see sense, but she was too swayed by her own beauty. From the song "You are the reason" I learned to respect others more, lest we regret after leaving us. And when we are wrong, we must try to correct it. News 1 : World is put on high alert over the Omicron coronavirus variant ---- As fears mount over the newly identified coronavirus variant Omicron, governments around the world are scrambling to protect their citizens from a potential outbreak. The new mutation, which is potentially more transmissible, was first discovered in South Africa and has since been detected in Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, Italy, the Czech Republic and Hong Kong. The World Health Organization (WHO) said late on Friday that early evidence suggest the Omicron variant, first identified in South Africa, could pose an increased risk of reinfection and said that some of the mutations detected on the variant were concerning. The discovery of the new variant has sparked fears around the world. A number of countries have imposed travel bans and the global markets plunged. ---- News 2: Meet the robot that can write poetry and create artworks ----- When people think of artificial intelligence, the images that often come to mind are of the sinister robots that populate the worlds of "The Terminator," "i, Robot," "Westworld," and "Blade Runner." For many years, fiction has told us that AI is often used for evil rather than for good. But what we may not usually associate with AI is art and poetry -- yet that's exactly what Ai-Da, a highly realistic robot invented by Aidan Meller in Oxford, central England, spends her time creating. Ai-Da is the world's first ultra-realistic humanoid robot artist, and on Friday she gave a public performance of poetry that she wrote using her algorithms in celebration of the great Italian poet Dante. Meller thinks that Ai-Da can be a pioneer in the world of AI and that what she produces -- whether it's poetry, artworks or something else -- will push the boundaries of what can be achieved in technology and will allow us to learn more about ourselves than ever before, all through the eyes of a robot. ----- Experience after Practicing Vocabulary: My experience after practicing vocabulary for a few days is that I feel an improvement in myself in speaking English. Practicing vocabulary in everyday life is an effective way for me to learn English and increase my understanding of English. In the news that I read there are many new vocabulary and I try to mark it and then use it directly. That way I become accustomed to using English and practice my ability to speak English.

[Children Book : Pinocchio] Once upon a time, an old carpenter named Gepetto carved a boy-shaped puppet and named it Pinocchio. He hoped that the boy would become a human being. A fairy heared his words and fulfilled his wishes. He turned the pupet alive. But the fairy hoped if the boy really wanted to be a real boy, he must be a good boy. Gepetto loved her very much, but Pinocchio was pretty naughty and rarely told the truth. Once he lies, his wooden nose would grow long. He always promised to be a good boy. But he forgot his words and skipped school with his friends to join the circus. One day, he heard that his father had been swallowed up by a very large whale. He went directly to find the whale. The whale also swallowed him. In the belly of a whale, Pinocchio and Gepetto were delighted to see each other. Finally they managed to get out and return home safely. The fairy was pleased with Pinocchio's courage and turned him into a human being. From that day on, he was a very good boy. Father and son live happily ever after. [Experience after practicing vocabulary] My experience after practicing vocabulary is that it helps me a lot because practicing vocabulary can make it easier for me to learn English and pronounce it in a sentence. I feel happy because I get a lot of vocabulary in the book I read and the movies I watch. Of course it can increase my understanding in English. By practicing English in everyday life, I become accustomed to speaking English and improve my pronunciation to be clearer.

Hm btw, what is your activity now? Shiva : I'm currently opting for a gap year. My current activity is to prepare myself to take the college entrance test again next year. Tika : Where do you want to study? Shiva : I want to study at Politeknik Imigrasi Tika : Wow, its very great. Isn't the official college entrance test more difficult, so what preparations have you done? Shiva : Yes it is difficult. And my current preparation is studying material for exams and increasing physical exercise. I'm also following a tutorial. [News 1: There's a shortage of truckers, but TuSimple thinks it has a solution: no driver needed] Right now, there's a shortage of truck drivers in the US and worldwide, exacerbated by the e-commerce boom brought on by the pandemic. One solution to the problem is autonomous trucks, and several companies are in a race to be the first to launch one. Among them is San Diego-based TuSimple. Founded in 2015, TuSimple has completed about 2 million miles of road tests with its 70 prototype trucks across the US, China and Europe. Although these are simply commercially available trucks retrofitted with its technology, TuSimple has deals in place with two of the world's largest truck manufacturers -- Navistar in the US and Traton, Volkswagen's trucking business, in Europe -- to design and build fully autonomous models, which it hopes to launch by 2024. [News 2: Scorpions kill three and injure hundreds in Aswan] Scorpions in Egypt have stung three people to death in the southern city of Aswan after heavy storms brought them into the streets and homes. Some 450 more people were injured by scorpion stings, a health ministry official said.The hail and thunder storm in the area near the River Nile on Friday was particularly violent. Scorpions are regularly washed into the streets by heavy rain, while snakes have also been disturbed. Extra doses of anti-venom have been provided to medical centres in villages near mountains and deserts, a health official told Al-Ahram news agency. Doctors have been pulled away from giving vaccinations to treat scorpion bites, the official have been urged to stay at home and avoid places with many trees. Experience after Practicing Vocabulary: My experience after practicing the vocabulary that I found in the news for a few days is that I find it difficult to apply it, because some of the vocabulary is very foreign to me and the meaning is quite difficult. But from there I can continue to learn to be able to understand the vocabulary and apply it in everyday life. I find a lot of vocabulary in the news that I read. After practicing vocabulary I also feel happy because it can add new knowledge and make me more excited to learn English, especially to speak english. From these two songs I got a lot of new vocabularies and I am very happy because I can practice vocabularies in everyday life. I learn to form new sentences with the vocabularies I find and then I practice speaking using those sentences. I am very happy after practicing this vocabularies because I can learn to speak English better and make it easier for me to understand English.

Tika : Hi Dea. Good night. How are you today? Dea: Hi, good night tik. I'm fine. How about you? Tika : I'm very happy to hear that. I am fine too. Can you introduce yourself, De? Dea : ok tik, hi guys. My name is Dea, I'm from Universitas Negeri Semarang. Tika : By the way, it's been a long time since we've talked together. Because I see on your instagram and whatsapp, it seems that you are very busy. Dea : Mmm, I've been quite busy lately. Because in addition to college, I also participated in several organizations and activities outside the campus. Tika : Wow, that's great. Btw what activities do you participate in? Dea : I participated in several religious activities, mentoring, and joined a start-up with my seniors. Tika : Very cool. How do you manage time to stay productive in the midst of this busy activity? Can you give me some tips? Dea: Mmm I'm also still learning how to manage time well. Now, my way to manage time is by making a daily schedule, noting what I will do for the whole day and determining which activities are a priority and which are not. Tika : Wow, very useful tips. Then how do you divide the time to do hobbies or to play? Dea : Usually when I have free time I take the time to do hobbies or at the end of the week I also give time to rest and play so that I don't get bored. [Children Book: Snow White] Once upon a time, there lived a little girl named “Snow White”. She lived with her aunt and uncle because her parents were dead. One day, she heard her uncle and aunt talking about leaving Snow White in the castle because they both wanted to go to America and they didn’t have enough money to take Snow White. Snow White did not want her uncle and aunt to do this so she decided it would be best if she ran away. The next morning she ran away from home when her aunt and uncle were having breakfast. She ran away into the woods. She was very tired and hungry. Then, she saw this little cottage. She knocked but no one answered so she went inside and fell sleep. Meanwhile, the seven dwarfs were coming home from work. They went inside. There they found Snow White sleeping. Then, Snow White woke up. She saw the dwarfs. The dwarfs said,”What is your name?” Snow White said, “My name is Snow White”. The dwarfs said, “If you wish , you may live here with us”. Snow White said, “Oh,could I? Thank you”. Then, Snow White told the dwarfs the whole story and Snow White and the seven dwarfs lived happily ever after.[Cartoon movie: Raya and last dragon] Long ago, when an evil force threatened Kumandra Country, the dragons had to fight to save humanity and sacrifice themselves. Because Dragons and humans live side by side. However, 500 years later, an evil monster known as Druun has the power of evil again to disturb the peace of Kumadra Country. Raya and her best friend, Tuk tuk, are here to find the last dragon Sisu and stop Druun once and for all. During the journey, obstacles and challenges must be faced by the highway. Raya must enter a cave in order to find the last dragon sisu. Raya and Sisu as well as some of the friends they met had to dare to take steps and fight to reunite the land of Kumandra as it used to be, which was peaceful and harmonious. [Experience] My experience after practicing vocabularies and applying it in daily life is that it can improve my ability to speak English. Through the story book and movie that I watched, I found a lot of interesting vocabularies, I also learned how to apply the vocabularies in a sentence. After practicing vocabulary for a few days, of course I am very happy because it can increase my knowledge and skills to speak English. I also tried to speak using the vocabularies I found to my sister and my friends. I think that with a lot of vocabularies practice, i can improve my English skills.

[Song 1] Heal the World is a song from Michael Jackson's hit album Dangerous, released in 1991. The song Heal The World tells the story of Michael Jackson who wants to invite all of us as humans to do good to fellow humans, other living things on earth, and the earth itself. This song contains a lot of hopes and desires to create a harmonious life between humans in the world. That hope is manifested by love in everyone's heart, caring, empathy for others, and mutual help. [Song 2] Speechless is sung by Naomi Scott for the 2019 Aladdin movie soundtrack. This song is about someone trying to break free from the shackles of a tradition that harms him, and in the context of the film Aladdin, this is a tradition in the land of Agrabah about women who cannot have opinions and cannot be leaders. The lyrics in this song reflect the nature of "rebellion" to be able to get out of these shackles, which can also inspire many people out there, not to give up on circumstances, and don't just accept it, and keep trying to bring about a change.

(News 1) Isle of Man vaccine booster programme rollout begins. The additional vaccine doses are being offered to everyone on the island aged 50 years old and over. About 40,000 residents are earmarked to get the jab, which is administered six months after the second dose. In most cases, those eligible will be offered the Pfizer or Moderna jabs, regardless of which jab they originally received. From this week, those over 70 years old and the clinically vulnerable will be offered the booster. Health and care workers were offered the added protection last week. (News 2) Facebook whistleblower reveals identity. A former Facebook whistleblower responsible for a series of bombshell leaks has revealed her identity. Frances Haugen, 37, who worked as a product manager on the civic integrity team at Facebook, was interviewed on Sunday by CBS. She said the documents she leaked proved that Facebook repeatedly prioritised "growth over safety". Facebook said the leaks were misleading and glossed over positive research conducted by the company. In the interview, on CBS's 60 Minutes programme, Ms Haugen said she had left Facebook earlier this year after becoming exasperated with the company. Before departing, she copied a series of internal memos and documents. She shared those documents with the Wall Street Journal, which has been releasing the material in batches over the last three weeks - sometimes referred to as the Facebook Files.

Siti Atikah (6411421035) Children Book: The Ant and the Dove. One hot day, an ant was searching for some water. After walking around for some time, she came to a spring. To reach the spring, she had to climb up a blade of grass. While making her way up, she slipped and fell into the water. She could have drowned if a dove up a nearby tree had not seen her. Seeing that the ant was in trouble, the dove quickly plucked off a leaf and dropped it into the water near the struggling ant. The ant moved towards the leaf and climbed up there. Soon it carried her safely to dry ground. Just at that time, a hunter nearby was throwing out his net towards the dove, hoping to trap it. Guessing what he was about to do, the ant quickly bit him on the heel. Feeling the pain, the hunter dropped his net. The dove was quick to fly away to safety. Vocabularies I found and example sentences: 1. Slipped : My friend slipped because he stepped on a banana peel 2. Drowned : I almost drowned in a deep swimming pool. 3. Ground : It's raining tonight, soaking the ground. Cartoon Movie: Coco 2017. COCO is the story of Miguel Rivera, a 12 years old boy who lives with his grandmother named Coco. They live in a small village in Mexico. When Coco was little, she lived with her mother, Imelda Rivera, and at that time music was strictly prohibited in her family. But Miguel secretly dreams of becoming a musician like Ernesto de la Cruz. One day Miguel finds a photo that he knows to be Ernesto and concludes (kenkluts) that he is Ernesto's great-grandson. Since then, Miguel has tried to enter Ernesto's grave and steal his guitar for use in a show. Miraculously, when Miguel strums the guitar, he becomes invisible to everyone at the venue. He could only see and be seen by his dog, and his deceased relatives at the time who were visiting from the Land of the Dead for a vacation, then took Miguel with them to their realm. Since then, Miguel has experienced many events in the Land of the Dead. He goes on an unexpected journey to find out about his family history. It was there that Miguel also met Hector, a lucky skeleton. Vocabularies I found and example sentences: 1. Grave : Today me and my sister went to grandma's grave 2. Concludes : To conclude the problem look from various parties 3. Unexpected : I got an unexpected surprise on my birthday. My Experience : After I read children's book and watched cartoon, I learned a lot of lessons. I found a lot of new vocabularies that was quite difficult to pronounce. But I continue to study it and practice it in my daily life. I also know more about the application of a word in a sentence, because an English word has many meanings. Reading children's books and watching cartoons in English can also train my writing and listening. Although there are many words from books or movies that I don't understand, but I learned to find out the meaning of these words and it is also an effective way for me to learn English. Not only that, learning English becomes more fun and enjoyable by reading story books and watching cartoons.

Songs I listen to: 1. The title "A Million Dreams" 'A million dreams' is a song by Ziv Zaifman, Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams. The song became the soundtrack to the 2017 film The Greatest Showman. A Million Dreams is a song that motivates and invites someone to dare to have big dreams and make them come true. The moral value of this song is that we must always focus and keep trying to reach our dreams. No matter how heavy the obstacles we encounter, never give up. Don't pay attention to what people who criticize without providing a solution, let them say whatever they want. We have to believe that our dreams will come true if we fight for them. The vocabs that I got from the song "A Million Dreams" are: 1. Through. Example sentence: That night I went through a lonely road. 2. Brightest. Example sentence: The brightest moonlight in the dark sky. 3. Fills. Example sentence: I fill water in a flower vase. The experience I got after listening to this song was that I got a lot of interesting new vocabulary to learn. With this vocabulary I practice to make new sentences and then I practice it in my daily life. The experience I got certainly made me more enthusiastic in learning English and only added to my understanding. After listening to this song I get a lot of lessons from each lyric. This song motivates me to be more passionate about achieving my dreams and not to care too much about what other people say. 2. Title "It's You" The song It's You is sung by Sezairi, a singer and songwriter from Singapore. The song It's You was released by Sezairi in 2018, then included in his mini album titled Undertones. The song It's You by Sezairi tells about the feelings of gratitude, happiness, emotion, and joy of someone who did not expect to have met someone who turned out to be his soul mate. Someone who completes him, turns him into a good man, and has gratitude and enough love. The vocabs that I got from the song "It's You" are: 1. Treasures. Example sentence: Family is the most valuable treasure 2. Stocked. Example sentence: I was so stocked by that sight. 3. Standing. Example sentence: im standing in front of the door.

EPIC acknowledges certain policy changes made by the Indian government to fight air pollution, such as the 2019 National Clean Air Programme, which aims to reduce dangerous particulate pollution in the country. Okay guys, that's the news I want to convey. We all hope that the air pollution in India can be resolved quickly. Well, from the news above, there are 3 new vocabulary words that I found, that is Breathes, spread and expanded. I also practice the vocabulary in everyday life. And my experience after practicing the vocabulary in everyday life is that I feel happy because I can add new knowledge and it makes me more enthusiastic to continue learning English and apply it in everyday life. I also tried to make new sentences from the vocabulary I found in the news. I try to practice little by little to get better at speaking English. And this is an example of a sentence that I made from the three vocabulary words. The first is Breathes. For example, "humans need oxygen to breathe". The second is the Spread, for example "currently, the spread of covid-19 is decreasing". And the third one is expanded.
