Stephanie Laing (Comedian)
Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She quickly established herself as one of the most promising acts of her generation on the circuit, and in 2015 appeared as a finalist in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year competition. Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable. Now a regular on the circuit Stephanie has also become a stalwart of comedy festivals across the country having appeared at Brighton Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, York Comedy Festival, Bath Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival as well as appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2010. Not content with just performing in the UK Stephanie has also appeared at UCB in New York & The Laugh Factory in L.A. Mike Wilmot (Comedian)
Mike was born with his head between a woman’s legs, took that fact, added beer, and created one of the funniest stand-up acts on both sides of the Atlantic. If you live on the eastern side of the pond and are a fan of Rich Hall’s, you probably saw Mike appear with him on the BBC in Rich Hall’s Cattle Drive, or Rich Hall’s Fishing Show, or flagship stand-up show Live at the Apollo. Or you might have seen him as himself on the BBC in Never Mind the Buzzcocks or 28 Acts in 28 Minutes. On the other side of the Atlantic, Mike was on Canadian TV in Corner Gas, and All the Comforts, and on CMT’s Ron White’s Salute to the Troops. The above just scratches the surface of this funny man’s comedic depth. You might ask, ‘What do you mean by that?’ And I would answer: ‘He’s got awards. He’s got awards up the whazoo: the Barry Award for Outstanding Stand-up Comic Performance in Australia; the Time Out Award for Best Stand-Up in London, England; the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Film Performance, and he twice received the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-up.’ Mike has made numerous film and television appearances over the years, with a showstopping role in It’s All Gone Pete Tong and a cast regular on The Fountain and Flickers. Trevor Lock (Comedian)
One of the most original acts in comedy, particularly noted for his ability to improvise, Trevor Lock’s unique brand of high energy stand up, mixing cleverly crafted wordplay with stream of consciousness extemporization has gained him a worldwide cult following. He is particular adept at dealing with hecklers and without whom it sometimes seems he wouldn’t have an act. His raucous weekly comedy showcase Trevor Lock’s Philosophy Society ran for 18 months to sell out audiences in Leicester Square in 2007/8. Tony Law (Comedian)
Law's comedy career began with him winning the New Act competition at Glastonbury Festival in 1995.[5][6] A lot of Law's earlier material featured tales of his time-travelling exploits in the company of his sausage dog, Cartridge Davison. Cartridge is the eponymous "Dog Of Time" from his Edinburgh show of the same name, and has appeared with Law on ITV's Comedy Cuts TV show. In 2002 he was a regular panellist on the Channel 4 comedy quiz show Does Doug Know?. He also appeared in a series of television adverts for Gala Bingo and has had TV exposure on Edinburgh & Beyond and Comedy Cuts. Law's first comedy tour was in 2009 and in 2010 he was a support act for Stewart Lee. Law performed on Russell Howard's Good News in April 2011 as part of one of the extended episodes called Russell Howard's Good News Extra. On 17 October 2011, he also appeared on the satirical music-based panel game Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In 2011–2012, Law toured his comedy show Tony Law: Go Mr Tony Go!. In August 2012, he returned to the Edinburgh Fringe to perform his new show, Tony Law: Maximum Nonsense. The show was nominated for best comedy show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. He appeared on the BBC One show Have I Got News for You, a satire panel show, on 2 November 2012, hosted by Jeremy Clarkson. In November 2012 he appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats, and returned to that show on 8 February 2013. In February–March 2013 he appeared in Comedy Central UK's The Alternative Comedy Experience. Law has performed in podcasts including Do the Right Thing and Why Is Your Bottom So Dirty. He also has his own podcast series The Tony Law Tapes. In 2017 Law worked with Adam Larter to create an experimental comedy opera on ice at the Alexandra Palace called 'Battle for Icetopia’ The show won the Chortle Award for Event of the Year.
Cally Beaton (Comedian)
Cally Beaton is a keynote speaker, awards host, comedian, business leader, podcaster, writer and entrepreneur. Otiz Cannelloni (Comedian & Magician)

Damian Kingsley (Comedian)
Damian is a professional stand up comic, although his friends would probably describe him as an unfunny, deluded prick. He did his first few gigs in Japan years ago when he lived in Tokyo, working as an English teacher and translator. He returned to the UK in 2008 and started working regularly on the UK circuit from 2009. Since then he has performed up and down the country, been in several competition finals, run a few gigs and has been at Edinburgh, Leicester and Brighton fringe festivals although his first one-hour solo show, Knock Knock, will be in 2016. He made the leap into full-time comedy in 2015. Style-wise, he mainly does stories and anecdotal material. Ben Briggs (Comedian)
Ben started stand up comedy in 2008 and quickly established himself as one of the hardest working comedians in the country. In his first year he made it to the final of The Hilarity Bites new act competition and won 2 Fun House Comedy Gong Shows. Lee Hudson (Comedian)
Lee has been performing standup for four years. He was a semi finalist in the 2018 ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ competition and a finalist in the 2019 Roast Battle UK tournament. His dry mix of self deprecation, observational humour and storytelling has seen him perform at top clubs both across the UK and internationally. In the US he has appeared on the Comedy Central and All Things Comedy podcast networks.
Aaron Levene (Comedian & Actor)
Aaron Levene is a likable Buddhist Jew comedian with darkly funny tales of neurosis and family, mixed with observational/self-deprecating material. Now regularly opening paid 20s, Aaron has performed over 600 gigs including runs every year at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2014. Sean Meo (Comedian)
Sean Meo has been a stand up comic since 1989. Before that, he had been a full-time snooker player, and was a quarter finalist in the English Amateur Championships of 1987. Nathan Cassidy is a British comedian and podcaster. Al Lubel (Comedian)
Al Lubel became a lawyer to satisfy his mother and quit to become a comedian to satisfy his sadistic need to torture her. After graduating law school in Florida, Al moved to California, passed the bar exam on his first try and immediately began the practice of standup comedy. Al practiced law during the day and comedy at night. Getting stage time is hard for a beginning comic, so Al would sometimes suddenly stand up in the middle of Denny's, and unannounced, do five minutes. And Al always did well because he had everyone's rapt attention because people were scared he might hurt them! Al gradually improved at comedy, getting work on the road and leaving the law behind. Within a year he won the $100,000 Comedy Grand Prize on Star Search. Doing the Tonight Show was a big childhood fantasy, so Al auditioned and became one of the last comics to appear with Johnny Carson. Al went on to do six more Tonight Show appearances with Jay Leno and made five appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman. Al has also played an attorney on the Blake Clark HBO Comedy Hour and has been featured in the Showtime and PBS special, A Standup Life. He has appeared on all seven episodes of the ESPN series, Bill Walton's Long Strange Trip. Al's solo show, Al Alone, won the Amused Moose Award Judges Prize as the best one person show in the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Adam Bloom (Comedian)
Adam Bloom is a British comedian and writer. He has played The Edinburgh Festival for many years, once winning The Edinburgh Festival Polygram Punter Comedy Award. In 1998 he won The Time Out Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up. He appeared at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival 1999 and 2000, winning a Stella Artois award for the former appearance. Chris Kent (Comedian)
Hailing from ‘The Rebel County’ (That’s Cork for anyone outside Ireland), Chris gave up the day job as an electrician to pursue his calling in comedy. He emerged onto the Irish comedy scene in 2009 after winning the Bulmers Nuttin’ But Funny competition. In 2010 Chris made his debut at one of Ireland’s biggest comedy festivals in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. His compelling storytelling then went on to win him the Comedy Smack Down Award at the Galway Comedy Festival later that year. He quickly established himself on the Irish circuit and became sought out to open for some of his favourite acts, including Dylan Moran, David O’ Doherty, PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamare to name but a few. In 2012 Chris was listed as “One To Watch” in The Dubliner Magazine’s Red Hot and Rising and went on to make his debut at the prestigious Cat Laughs festival in Kilkenny. In August, Chris brought his first solo show ‘Plugged In’ (‘Breathes new life into anecdotal comedy’ -The List, ★★★★ Cream of the Fringe) to the Edinburgh Festival, where he fell ill after contracting the mumps. This was initially diagnosed as ‘just Edinburgh’ by fellow comedians. However, the large lump on his face was later confirmed as a genuine illness, and not simply ‘all in his head’. He had to cancel two shows to avoid creating an epidemic, although he’s not sure anybody noticed… Chris returned to Ireland with broken dreams but mump free, to take up his seat on RTE Radio 1’s comedy panel show The Second Republic, alongside PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamare. After a tough debut year, which he put down to “everybody in the world being in London for the Olympics”, Chris was determined to return to Edinburgh fighting. 2013 saw him perform his second solo show ‘Second Fix’ with a full bill of health and much healthier crowd numbers. This time he only had to cancel one show due to a delayed flight, and was delighted that people did notice (albeit being a bit annoyed at him). He returned home that year, after a much happier Edinburgh experience, with a new UK agent. In December, Chris was chosen to support Bill Burr in Vicar Street, on his only Irish date that year. He made his Irish television debut on New Years Eve as a panelist on RTE’s Next Year’s News. In 2014 Chris took part in an Irish documentary The Stand Ups, which followed the lives of five Irish comedians. This gave a behind the scenes glimpse into the everyday life of a comedian, and followed Chris as he prepared for his third Edinburgh solo show ‘Corked’. ‘Fresh and original material, extremely endearing performer’ ★★★★ Broadway Baby. ★★★★ Threeweeks. In 2015 Chris made his UK TV debut on Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central. He returned home after once again miscalculating his final shop and leaving behind half a bottle of shower gel and a box of cornflakes (unopened), and taking with him only resentment for the landlord that charged seven times the rent for an apartment that couldn’t possibly have been up any more stairs… In 2016 Chris performed at the Perth Fringe. It was warm. He took a break from Edinburgh, assuming that “everybody in the world would be in Rio for the Olympics”. He did however go on to do his first Irish tour with ‘Stop Stalling’, performing to sell out crowds. It was cold. Lynn Ruth Miller (Commedienne)
Lynn Ruth Miller Born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1933, Lynne Ruth Miller claims to be the oldest performing stand-up comedian on both sides of the Atlantic. She only started in at 71, after a career as a writer, tutor and newspaper columnist. She made it to Las Vegas in America’s Got Talent, 2008, and won the Time Out and Soho Theatre award for best cabaret show at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe for her show Granny’s Gone Wild. Miller moved to the UK permanently in 2014, taking up residence in Brighton.
Stephen Carlin (Comedian)
Stephen Carlin is a Scottish-born stand-up comedian and writer, now living in London. He was named by Stewart Lee as one of the 'Ten Best Comedians In The World Ever'[citation needed]. He has appeared on television and radio including ITV2's Comedy Cuts and The Milk Run on BBC Radio 1. He is represented by Glorious Management.[1] He supported Stewart Lee on his “90s Comedian” tour and Tom Stade on his “Totally Rocks” tour. He has also supported Stephen Merchant and Felix Dexter on their national tours. He appeared in Season 1 and 2 of Comedy Central’s The Alternative Comedy Experience. Carlin has written for many radio shows including The News Quiz, The Now Show, Look Away Now, Recorded for Training Purposes, and Laura Solon Talking and Not Talking. He was the holder of the BBC Radio writers bursary 2008-2009. He was runner up in the BBC’s new writing competition “Witty and Twisted” in 2006.[2] He subsequently wrote and performed a series of mockumentaries for BBC Radio 4 Extra “Gus Murdoch’s Sacred Cows”.[3] Carlin co-created BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Headset Set’ along with fellow writer James Kettle.[4]

Philfy Phil A.K.A. Phil Alexander (Musical Comedian)
I'm Phil Alexander, singer of silly songs and igniter of lyrical fireworks. I have been entertaining people round camp fires, at parties and musical open mics for more decades than I care to remember. For some totally inexplicable reason, I had the stage name "Philfy Phil" bestowed upon me, and since then have striven to live up to it. It took me quite a long time to realize that people find my stuff really rather funny, and they might actually be right (a lot of people seem to think I'm a good guitarist, too, and I know they're not right about that). So in 2012, I set out on a whole new direction, trying to make a name for myself on the comedy circuit. Fred Ferenczi (Character Comic)
Fred Ferenczi began stand-up in 2001 and clocked up some 500 gigs in that time, performing all over the UK, at least twice a week. ‘Glee’ described Fred as “Kaufmanesque, great use of time” and Steve Bennett (Chortle) said “Fred could become quite the cult.” Chesham Comedy Club call Fred is “brilliantly weird”. He has performed at numerous festivals including Edinburgh, Leicester, Brighton, Citadel and Wilderness (the latter two, where he curates a massively popular comedy tent). Fred has been a finalist in the national Silver Comedian competition in 2012, 2013 and 2016 (Steve Bennett’s tip for the title) near miss for the title). Fred works equally well on conventional as alternative bills. Hard to define, here are some more quotes to give a sense (sic) of Fred, but you really need to see him live… “Without doubt the most marvellous and memorable act I have even seen”. Peter Ford (Comedian & Toastmaster)
Peter Ford is seventy and frankly looks every day of it. Started standup at the age of sixty four and the Whiteleaf Comedy Club in Croydon and has appeared on the circuit as a regular ever since. Talks endlessly about little old ladies, sex, Viagra and a whole lot of leading edge stuff (not). A well known humorous public speaker and has been a member of 'Toastmasters International' for thirteen years. Still works full time in the family mail order business. Rick Murtagh (Comedian & Sculptor)
Rick Murtagh has been on the circuit for 4 years. Michael Daley (Comedian)
Michael Daley Since performing for 1 minute at a professional comedy club 5 years ago; Mike hasn't looked back. He used to regularly MC a gig in Chelsea & his own in Windsor, music gigs & a few charity specials He performs a mixture of one-liners, puns, observational humour, prop comedy & general silliness. Fin O' Driscoll (Comedian)
Fin O'Driscoll started doing stand up in 2015 & is regularly found popping up on the open mic scene. She has done courses with Gráinne Maguire and Logan Murray. Fin participated in the Tringe Festival Tringe Rovers event. She's worked with the Battersea Arts Centre on one of their children's shows. Fin has also worked in health care but is too angry about what is happening to our NHS to make jokes about it. Dan Rowbottom (Musician & Music Producer)
Musician and music producer. Dan has performed in bands for over 20 years, playing a mix of genres including rock, grunge, sludge, voodoo, pop, indie and funk. He is currently recording an acoustic album and performing in his metal band, Vespasian. He has supplied soundtracks to short films and podcasts, and promotional videos to several live events. In recent times Dan has been enjoying producing, recording and mixing all kinds of noise, furthering his fascination with microphones and how make things sound okay-ish where possible. Stuart Gill (Writer)
Writer, lover, comrade and 'Song and Dance man' Stuart has been honing his writing skills for many years now with graphic novels and sitcoms (writing, not reading or watching) ready for an all out attack on the mainstream media. He's 6' 2" with eyes as big as jammy dodgers and legs up the Ying Yang. His background in martial arts and circus clownery have set him up just right for comedy podcasts or street battles.
