A Tale Of Two Cities: A Look Into The Southeast Michigan Music Scene With Sabbatical Bob
For the NPR College Podcast Challenge, Arts, Interrupted, a podcast from the University of Michigan's student newspaper, The Michigan Daily, chatted with Ben Green and David Ward of Sabbatical Bob, a ten-piece outfit specializing in Black American Music formed at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. As graduating seniors, the two, as well as most of their band members, have now moved to Ypsilanti, a town just a few minutes out of Ann Arbor. In the episode, the musicians talk about the two cities and their diverging art communities.
