The Sorries are Douglas Kay (vocals, guitar, bodhran, mandolin) and Martin Philip (vocals, guitar, bodhran). The duo sing, play and banter their way through a show featuring a selection of Scotland's best known traditional songs as well as a few of their own compositions which cast a sardonic eye over modern day Scotland.Since forming in 2006 The Sorries have played extensively around Scotland, from the Hebrides & the Highlands to Perthshire & the Borders. Performances have included public and private shows at such diverse locations as Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Lossiemouth's Warehouse Theatre.In addition, the lads have toured schools to play short gigs for the pupils and explain a little about where the songs come from and how the folk tradition has been perpetuated and promoted through history.
