This week we discuss the pandemic from the viewpoint in how people respond to the state’s actions. Does this hurt or help the state? We also talk about the stimulus bill and show how this is nothing but two parties selling out on everything they claim to believe in. Lastly, we wrap up with a general conversation about the pandemic and focus in on some military opinions.

Jake talks about how local law enforcement is backing off from protecting citizens due to the pandemic. Sam discusses intellectual property and the pros and cons of it in an attempt to come to a conclusion if it should be treated as a property right. We end by discussing cannibals and the sex lives of a praying mantis.

Jake starts a new segment focused on local government and the power they have over our lives. This week he gives examples of some of the immense emergency powers they are able to give themselves in times of crisis. Sam starts a new segment about economics and markets. This week he discusses Amazon and their taxes and responds to facebook feedback about a meme where if they paid corporate taxes consumer costs would go up. The idea is to present a different perspective on the incentives and consequences of a tax on Amazon would bring about.
