We talk about a new paper on neuroscience and learning, and how teachers tend to believe in prevailing myths in education. Also, we discuss the topic of alternative medicine for the assessment that is due soon.

What is more important? Science education or science communication? We are supposed to argue for the motion, "Science education is more important than science communication" and we do have some choice arguments to throw at the other side. Let's see what happens. We discuss the research done and the implications of said research in the paper titled The Seductive Allure of Neuroscience Explanations (Weisberg et al). It's a fascinating paper, easy to read and comprehend, and has a lot of interesting avenues to learn more about stuff, especially the research methodologies and how to extract information reliably.
