Send us Fan MailTerry Welker, FAIA, is an architect/sculptor living in Kettering, Ohio. Hebegan his formal education in fine art but later moved toward architecture.He received his Master of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati in1987 and continued teaching design at UC. and worked at severalarchitectural firms in Dayton. In 1994 he opened his own firm and createdthe Archetype Gallery showing Ohio artists.In 2000, Terry launched the Welker Studio and began 22 years of publicservice as the City Architect for the City of Kettering. In 2016 he waselevated to the AIA College of Fellows and received the AIA Ohio GoldMedal in 2023.Today Terry creates permanent and temporary public art/commissionedworks as a sculptor in the Welker Studio.
