Cuando nos piden que trabajemos un par de horas extras, aunque no nos las paguen. ¿Porqué nos cuesta tanto trabajo decir que no? Mucha gente puede tomar mal nuestra negativa, y eso es lo que no queremos, porque nos importa nuestra imagen. Una de las características deseables de un buen mánager es saber decir No. Decir NO, o decir SI, son contestaciones que casi siempre implican emociones, mismas que debemos controlar. “Hay que aprender a estar cómodos con situaciones incómodas”. Cinco recomendaciones para evaluar situaciones comprometidas y aprender a decir NO de la mejor forma: 1. Primero escuchemos, 2. Reconozcamos nuestras emociones y controlemos nuestro caracter, antes de enfrentarnos a alguien más y de contestar Sí o No. 3. Qué hacer cuando no acepten nuestro No. 4. Evitemos dar falsas esperanzas, tampoco usemos las justificaciones ligeras y los rodeos. 5. Seamos siempre educados. Utilicemos un lenguaje sereno, sin malas palabras, evitando las sonrisas, hay que decir NO tranquila y claramente. La práctica hace al maestro, aprender a decir no clara y llanamente es un Arte que se aprende con el ejercicio diario de tomar decisiones, también puede considerarse como una destreza.
