För drygt 10 år sedan var Daniel Roxvret en överviktig kille som älskade dataspel och inte gillade att röra på sig särskilt mycket. Idag är Roxen en av Sveriges mest välkända ultralöpare som gärna kombinerar ultralöpningen med äventyr. Han har gjort flera långa äventyr "till fots", bland annat Vätternrundan 300 km 2014, han sprang hela Sörmlandsleden 2015 och gjorde sen Gröna Bandet 2016. Senaste projektet var att springa drygt 200 mil genom Sverige, från Treriksröset i norr till Smygehuk i söder. Hela projektet tog 24 dagar och till sin hjälp hade han sin pappa Leif som följde med i husbil och ordnade med mat och pepp längs vägen. Huvudmålet för "Roxen genom Sverige" har varit att samla in pengar till Panzisjukhuset i Kongo där man jobbar med att hjälpa kvinnor som utsatts för grovt sexuellt våld. Insamlingen gjordes i samarbete med Tjejmarathon och målet var att få ihop 35 000 kr men han fick ihop mer än det dubbla, nästan 80 000 kr! Extra roligt är att Dr. Denis Mukwege som driver Panzisjukhuset precis har tilldelats Nobels Fredspris 2018 för sin verksamhet!
