Hier in Nederland een kleine minderheid binnen de Molukse gemeenschap, maar op de Molukken vormen zij de helft van de bevolking. Sinds 1984 staat er een Molukse moskee in Ridderkerk. We ontmoeten moskeebestuurder Djannah Ollong die vertelt over de belangrijke rol van vrouwen in de gemeenschap. En Ghani van den Bergh brengt de geschiedenis van de moslim-Molukkers in kaart vanaf de aankomst in Nederland in 1951.
