The Beatles kunne med deres musik få verden til at le og græde.  Men de var faktisk også mestre indenfor den mere avancerede humor. De fire mestrede virkelige det underfundige og sjove. I denne episode kigger Henrik Irgens og jeg nærmere på det, som mange, måske, overser - at Beatlerne både var hylende morsomme, men også havde bid i deres grin. Vi skal især tale om den del af humoren der handler om "The Establishment" i England i 60´erne. Om at gå lige til grænsen overfor kultur-eliten, at få dronningen til at grine og til at omgås den Vietnam- krig alle amerikanere tænkte på, men som The Beatles ikke kunne/måtte tale om. Har du hørt første del af de to episoder med Henrik, ved du at han har et særdeles omfangsrigt CV som musiker, der bl.a. binder tråde til Giles Martin og Rusty Anderson, men som også rummer masser af solo-musik, spændende session-opgaver og faste gigs hos profilerede navne, bl.a. i England. Som nævnt kommer vi tæt på det hele i episode 108, som man nok bør lytte til før nærværende episode. Lige her handler det altså om humor. Og om de  Beatles-julesingler der er aktuelle pga. episodens udgivelses-tidspunkt. Og som iøvrigt fortsat er hamrende sjove og interessante at lytte til. Episoden indledes desværre med afsæt i den sørgelige nyhed om det tidligere "Wings"-medlem Denny Laines død. Denny  Laine blev 79 år. Arno Guzek og Andreas Smedegaard sætter ord på manden der havde "altid trofast"-prædikatet klæbet til sig, gennem de 10 år hvor Paul McCartneys band meget ofte skiftede medlemmer. Og så havde han virkelig vigtige aktier i Wings-lyden, samt i en del kompositioner, bl.a. i gigahittet "Mull Of Kintyre".
