from Leaders of Lasting Impact · host Matthew Pohl

Your host, Matthew Pohl, talks with the CEO and Founder of ReCalibrate, Cheryl Lynn Mobley. Cheryl's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Starting a cleaning business right out of college, she learned the ropes of entrepreneurship with a hands-on approach. Her career trajectory took a significant turn when she entered the healthcare sector, focusing on quality risk management. Her dedication and skill eventually led her to serve as the president of a hospital for five years. But Cheryl's ambition didn't stop there. She noticed a gap in leadership knowledge and guidance across various industries, which led her to leave the hospital and start Recalibrate. At Recalibrate, Cheryl has developed a powerful tool called the "99 Guiding Questions" to help leaders replicate success in their respective fields. This framework is designed to guide business leaders through the complexities of achieving top-tier performance. Cheryl's approach is unique in that it's industry-agnostic, meaning it can be applied to any organization aiming for the 99th percentile in performance while fostering a positive work environment. To learn more about Cheryl's work, click HERE and HERE.Think you'd be a great guest on the show? The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation. This knowledge exchange workshop was part of the four months Res Not All At Once Kendall Weihe Two guys talking shop once a week. Mostly about the intersection of technology and money.
