#115 From Crisis to Pawsitive with Sophie Bell

from Walnut Wednesday · host Lara Gieseke

This week I am lucky enough to speak with Sophie Bell who is both company director and dog trainer at Pawsitive Behaviours. She's also one of Nana the Lab's very best friends! Sophie says "It’s not just about loving dogs, it’s about knowing them, understanding them and giving them the tools to succeed in a human world. From my personal experiences with complex rescue dogs I value knowledge, empathy and rewards based animal training. My goal is to promote, educate and encourage responsible dog ownership on the Kapiti Coast and beyond". Sophie completed a certificate in small business and project management and numerous animal training short courses and launched Pawsitive Behaviours in 2019. Over the past two and a half years she's grown her idea into a company, hired 5 employees and grown her gross by over 800%. What started as just a dream, and a bit of a quarter life crisis, turned into a career and turned her passion into a way of life.
