#18 How do we LIMIT our children?

from Aarohi - Unlearning Unparenting · host AarohiLife

The truth is we are the ones who limit our children - how and why - let us figure out and then get out of their way. You can listen to more Jagriti podcasts or you can join Jagriti as an online untraining program which is meant for parents and teachers where we explore intensely and interactively lots of perspectives into children and learning. Parenting or teaching is NOT about some tricks or techniques or strategies it is about deeply understanding the child and his or her learning and development it is about providing a relationship that would enable the child to blossom into the unique human that he or she is It is not about a child's future, but about the joy we all have in the years we live together JAGRITI - an online unlearning program for parents and teachers - giving you fresh perspectives into your child and their learning, growing journey. While what you know and have been doing as a parent is correct, there are atleast 50 more ways of seeing the same thing. When we open up our windows, we get to see new vistas. Automatically, these new perspectives lead us to respond to and work with our child in different and perhaps much more effective ways. The child, in the end, is a huge beneficiary. My Messy, Human Life Sheena Grund A new adventure of being alive in this messy, difficult, and beautiful human life... topics to be discussed at different times: life, unlearning, disability, faith, love, Spirit... really all the things! It'll be messy (as in all over the place), but that literally in the title of the podcast, so hopefully it's not a surprise! Also, life is unpredictable and beautiful, which I hope this podcast will be, too. Journal The Body Podcast Abi Fernandini Abi Fernandini- Welcome to the Journal the Body Podcast, where I encourage you to tune into your body and out what the mainstream has to say about total health and well-being.If you start listening to this podcast, you might experience the feeling of "unlearning" much of what you have been taught, and that can be a liberating yet scary feeling. Many of my philosophies and practices reside in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I believe these "alternative" practices are actually the original practices for mind-body health way before the western healthcare model redefined this standard. This concept of "Journaling the Body" started back in 2019 when I move out to California while battling a chronic illness. I shut out all the opinions of my doctors at the time, stopped the medications I was given, and made a pact to truly listen to what my body was telling me. I truly journaled my body, both physical and emotional. So today I prese Grablives grablives Grablives is a mental health podcast designed to bring a greater awareness to first responders struggling with injury, depression, suicidal ideation, and burn out. Jonathan Vargas is a firefighter/paramedic in Los Angeles determined to find solution for the epidemic of mental health crisis. Grablives ideologies are rooted in unlearning patterns, finding spirituality, and discovering higher consciousness in an effort to create a more sustainable career for first responders, cops, firefighters, and military personnel. Constructive Conscious Control of the Individual by F. Matthias Alexander Loyal Books F. Matthias Alexander was an Australian actor, author and educator, who is best known as the inventor of Alexander Technique, a method for "unlearning" acquired habits of movement and posture that are harmful or suboptimal, and allowing natural, healthy patterns of body use to emerge in their place. Alexander Technique is now taught by specially trained instructors through in-person lessons around the world, and is particularly popular among musicians and other performance artists. In this 1923 book, considered by many to be his best, Alexander explains the principles of his technique and the theory behind it. It includes an introduction by the American philosopher and educator John Dewey, who studied the technique with Alexander.
