El próximo domingo 2 de junio de 2024 todos los ciudadanos mexicanos tendremos la oportunidad de elegir, a través del voto libre y secreto, a aquellos que nos han de gobernar durante los siguientes años, tema respecto del cual existe una gran cantidad de información de los distintos actores políticos. No obstante ello, en el ámbito laboral la información no fluye con la misma intensidad por lo que surgen muchas dudas entre las personas trabajadoras, quienes se preguntan si se trata de un día feriado, si es obligatorio presentarse a laborar y, de ser así, si dispondrán de tiempo suficiente para ir a votar; también tenemos el caso de aquellas personas que fueron seleccionadas mediante insaculación para desempeñar algún cargo en los órganos electorales, quienes se cuestionan si eso es motivo suficiente para poder faltar a su trabajo sin recibir sanción de parte de su empleador.
