Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar Entertainment Radio Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was a classic American radio drama that aired on CBS Radio from February 18, 1949, to September 30, 1962.The show starred Bob Bailey as Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator with a knack for getting into trouble. Each episode followed Dollar as he investigated a new case, from insurance fraud to murder. The show was known for its fast-paced action, witty dialogue, and iconic sound effects. The show's signature element was Dollar's expense account, which he would read aloud at the end of each episode. This often humorous list of items, such as "50 cents for chewing gum - to keep my brain working under pressure," gave listeners a glimpse into Dollar's world and personality.Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was a huge success, running for over 600 episodes and winning numerous awards. It was one of Adventures Of The Thin Man Entertainment Radio The radio series The Adventures of the Thin Man (also known simply as The Thin Man) aired from July 2, 1941, to September 1, 1950.The series featured the detective duo Nick and Nora Charles, based on Dashiell Hammett's novel and the popular film series. While Claudia Morgan consistently played Nora Charles throughout the entire nine-year run, several actors portrayed Nick Charles:Les Damon (1941-1943, 1946-1947)David Gothard (1944-1945, 1946-1947)Les Tremayne (1945-1946, 1948-1949)Joseph Curtin (1950)The show moved across various major radio networks during its run, including NBC, CBS, Mutual, and ABC, and was sponsored by companies like Woodbury Soap Company, General Foods (Post Toasties, Maxwell House Coffee, Sanka), and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. While a complete list of every single episode from 1941-1950 is extensive and some recordings are lost or misdated."Murder Of Denrel Foster" (August 27, 1941)"Valentine's Beyond Midnight Entertainment Radio This series was written by Michael McCabe and was produced in South Africa. It was a replacement for another series McCabe produced, called SF68. That series adapted famous Sci-fi stories to radio, and it seems to have been the place where McCabe honed his craft. The subject matter to Beyond Midnight was more horror oriented, including madness, murder, and supernatural sleuths! What survives today doesn't involve a horror host per se, but a few include framing narration (by someone involved in the plot) while others just start up the story with no announcer or lead-in whatsoever. So it's possible regular host or announcer was left off the recordings. The host-- if there was one-- may have only been heard by those who listened to this series when it first aired.Listen to our radio station Old Time Radio https://link.radioking.com/otradioListen to other Shows at My Classic R How to get away with murder Salma Nejjari Reviews about how to get away with murder’s tv show
