In this episode, Charlie Mullan and I preview Sunday's World Cup Final between Argentina and France in Lusail, Qatar. First, we look back at our favorite World Cup memories from past finals. Charlie remembers the ticker tape when Argentina hosted the 1978 World Cup and Diego Maradona carrying Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986. He also enjoyed seeing Brazil's Zico in his younger days. I remember Brazil's Ronaldo redemption brace against Germany in Yokahoma after a disastrous final against France in '98. At the 2018 World Cup, France beat Argentina in a goal-scoring fest 4-3 on route to winning the trophy in Moscow. With this final being full of stars, we look at Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. Sunday's World Cup Final will likely end Messi's international career with Argentina. With a win, Messi can match Maradona by lifting the World Cup. Messi can also out an end whether he or Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player of this era. For the Frenchman, Mbappe can win two World Cups before turning 24 years old. He can also take the torch as the world's best football player from Messi and Ronaldo to the next generation. Besides Messi and Mbappe, which player/s will dictate and be the x-factor's in Sunday's final? Before giving out our picks, we try and test each other's World Cup knowledge with some trivia?
