282: The impact of new TGA regulations on patients and practitioners with Deb Farnworth-Wood from ISSADA

from The ABIC Podcast · host Aesthetic and Beauty Industry Council

Today’s guest is Deb Farnworth-Wood from ISSADA. Deb founded/bought and grew 10 successful businesses before buying Issada Cosmetics in 2020. Since then she has launched Issada Clinical Formula which had already been in development for two years at that stage. Moved the business into its own manufacturing facility, and reshaped the business for growth.  Deb’s previous businesses span Health, Wellness, Education, Retail, Manufacturing and construction.  She was the Founder of the Australian Skin Clinics Franchise growing it from 1-60 clinics in just 5 years before selling in 2019. During that time, she scooped numerous awards including 3 BRW Fast List positions, Gold Coast Women in Business Winner and she was a finalist in the EY-sponsored Entrepreneur of the Year. Deb loves change and a challenge!  She analyses business models for fun. She is a decisive leader, who is able to set clear goals and articulate her vision. She is successful at mentoring teams, growing businesses, and managing successful enterprises.  She is described as a change master, with extensive experience in strategic  organisational development, project management and consultancy. She empowers her teams to deliver the organisational goals and in doing so, to be the best they can be. Deb created a massive impact in the world of Aesthetic Beauty, taking what were select services only available to the rich and famous and making them accessible to all. To do this she had to challenge the norm, in every aspect of the process from where and how services were delivered though to how therapists were trained. She loves to do things that people say can't be done! Here to discuss the impact of the new TGA regulations on patients and practitioners regarding the use of terms "dermal fillers" and "anti-wrinkle injections, from ISSADA, today we welcome Deb Farnworth-Wood.Beaute by ABIC Podcast is an independent podcast that operates with the support of our listeners (that’s you!)
