299 - Using Your Business to Fund Personal Wealth with Erinn Bridgman

from Crush the Rush™: The Female Entrepreneur Podcast for Sustainable Business Growth · host Holly Haynes

I am so excited for today’s episode where we discuss using your business to fund personal wealth with Erinn Bridgman. It’s one of the main reasons I started my business! Erinn started out as a wedding photographer, but pivoted 5 years ago into business, money mindset and money management coaching.Erinn says that it makes sense that women feel GUILTY about making money given the history of women and money in our country. This can lead to a challenge with our mindset around money – do you feel WORTHY to make money? Starting here is KEY!Then, Erinn gets practical with a focus on increasing your SALARY! Most women pay themselves last and inconsistently. Although investing money back into the business makes sense at the beginning of your journey, eventually paying yourself a consistent salary allows you to leverage growing your personal wealth. So, if nothing else, start paying yourself consistently – even if it’s $100 a month – put it on autopay!Erinn drops all the gold when she shares her five financial goals for women biz owners – (1) Work towards eliminating any debt. (2) Determine a savings goal and start saving! (3) Decide how you want to invest for your retirement – and then do it! (4) Be generous! Wealthy women will change their communities and the world! (5) Lastly, think about any lifestyle upgrades that make sense for YOU – maybe it’s hiring a housekeeper or traveling more. It’s totally up to YOU!Unsure where to start? Erinn recommends two things .. Log into your business and personal bank accounts daily. Just get used to looking at the numbers. Next, create one financial goal that really lights you up! Write it down and write down the feeling it would produce!Want more from Erinn?
