In Wenen bezoeken ze samen het graf van Beethoven en nemen ze de metro naar Heiligenstadt, waar Beethoven het indringende Heiligenstädter Testament schreef. Rebecca spreekt terug in Nederland wijnexpert Ilja Gort, die haar meer vertelt over het alcoholgebruik in de 19e eeuw. Was Beethovens verslaving mogelijk dodelijk? Ook gaat ze langs bij forensisch patholoog Hans de Boer van het Nederlands Forensisch Instituut in Den Haag, die aan de hand van het symptomenlijstje van Beethoven een tweede mogelijke doodsoorzaak voorstelt...
