NASA har en plan om at sende mennesker til månen igen i 2024. Denne gang for at blive i en længere periode. Og måske skal de bo i en sort kulfiber-ananas, som rumarkitekterne Sebastian Aristotelis og hans makker Karl-Johan Sørensen har designet, mens de er der. Faktisk er de to netop hjemvendt fra 3 måneder på Grønland, hvor de testede det ananas-formede månehus i ekstreme omgivelser. Og nu har de en masse erfaringer, som de skal videreudvikle på. Mange af de ting, vi bruger til hverdag er udviklet til rummet: Frysetørret mad, memory foam, øretermometer, kunstige lemmer, kikkertoperationer, luftrenser, termotæppe, bærbar computer, solceller, computermus og trådløse headsets.Teknologier, du sikkert er i kontakt med hver dag, men som egentlig først er udviklet til rumfart, og senere blevet tilgængelig for alle os andre. De kaldes ‘spin-off teknologier’ og dem handler denne episode af Vi Er Data om. Marie Høst taler med Sebastian Aristotelis, om hvordan man designer boliger til mennesker på månen og på andre planeter, og hvordan de erfaringer kan betyde noget for hvordan vi bor og lever på jorden.
