#314: Diferencias entre mar y océano

Hace poco me pregunté sobre la diferencia entre un mar y un océano, y me parece interesante hablar sobre ello. Si bien estos dos términos se usan indistintamente en ocasiones, hay algunas diferencias clave que los hacen diferentes. Vamos a ello. Primero de todo las definiciones. Hemos de ser respetuosos con el diccionario, claro. El diccionario oficial, el Diccionario de la lengua Española, define mar como: Masa de agua salada que cubre la mayor parte de la superficie terrestre. Curiosamente, este mismo diccionario define océano como: Mar de gran extensión que separa dos o más continentes. Así, que… Un océano es un mar… pero muuuucho más grande.
