Nous verrons qu’iels ont une histoire particulière, peu connue ou mal connue du grand public. Cette histoire est celle de l’exil, de l’exploitation, de la discrimination mais aussi une histoire de la résistance, de l’organisation et des luttes pour sortir de la misère et obtenir l’égalité des droits par rapport aux autres FrançaisEs. Dans cet épisode, nous allons voir comment, entre 1945 et 1970, arrivent des centaines de milliers d’immigréEs originaires des anciennes colonies françaises, pour travailler durement, et participer encore une fois à la gloire et l’enrichissement de l’ancienne métropole. Leurs conditions de vie et de travail, extrêmement difficiles, ont globalement caractérisé ces décennies pour ces personnes.
