La llegada de la democracia en 1983 significó recuperar la esperanza para la sociedad argentina, fue el inicio de una etapa destinada a comprender qué nos había sucedido y por qué tantos argentinos dieron su vida. En esta serie documental se escuchan testimonios de dirigentes políticos, de sindicalistas, religiosos y de altos exponentes de nuestra cultura artística así como también de ciudadanos que, en 1983, votaron por primera vez.

En este episodio, se recordó la situación del país a partir de finales de 1981, donde la censura comenzaba a aflojar, no así la represión. En las radios continuaban las listas negras de artistas y canciones prohibidas, y el séptimo arte hacia lo suyo marcando resistencia, siendo ‘Tiempo de revancha’ un símbolo de la resistencia del cine argentino.

En las calles, había una ‘Basta’ que expresaba le cansancio y la bronca de todo un país. Los sindicatos molestaban a los dictadores, permanecían intervenidos y muchos de los gremialistas de ese entonces fueron perseguidos y desaparecidos.

El 2 de abril de 1982, se desató la guerra de Malvinas que duró 74 días. Las voces de algunos protagonistas que fueron participes de ella junto con los fragmentos de cómo se tomó en los medios de comunicación, son recortes de gran importancia para recordar la lucha del pueblo argentino que derivó en la recuperación de la democracia argentina tras la dictadura militar.
