Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.  Lesley Logan 0:43  Hi, Be It babe. Welcome to your Friday episode. Welcome to us sharing some fun wins. This is a quickie. It's always a quickie. And hopefully you hear a win of yours because it might remind you of a win you had in the past and you might be having a day where you're like, "Oh, this day." And then, and then you hear your win or you hear someone else's win you go, "Oh, I had a win like that." Lesley Logan 1:05  So here we go. We're going to start doing some wins. The first one is going to be from Laurie Sindlinger. "FYF, I was feeling a little rundown from teaching lately and noticing I was taking a lot of my clients' negative energy with me long after the sessions were over. I started this week by taking care of my own needs and my family's needs and bringing a different energy into the studio myself. When I saw the clients that always complain about their lives and it kind of dump on me, I put up a mental barrier. I listened, but immediately let it go and focus my energy on the good work I could give them. I'm not sure if they noticed, but I did not carry the bad energy with me for the rest of the day. And I felt great all week. Also, one of my clients brought me a cute hair clip today that lays flat behind your head. So I thought it'd be useful for Pilates. And I finished viewing and taking notes on two of the summer camp classes. I bought a day pass and could not attend live, so I'm working my way through them all little by little." Laurie, I just love this. Like I really, really do. You know, there are those energy vampires and we're like, how do we get this person in our lives? Like how did this happen? And so I just really appreciate you sharing your way of creating space between their negative energy and what you were doing in a day. So thank you so much. Lesley Logan 2:20  Okay. We have Ainsley who is in eLevate four and she has a couple of wins I'm going to share. So one of them is, "Last night I saw a gorgeous new client who had lost her husband six weeks ago suddenly. Her grief oozed out of her in a mix of shock and sadness and blankness. She almost looked translucent. A mutual friend recommended me to her. Her goal is not to think about things when she's with me and to get strong enough in her ankles to go back to running. By the end of our session, I provided the distraction by getting her moving with her feet and straps. Deliberately done a demo of the variety we will be doing. She laughed so hard and smiled saying if her husband could see her now. It was so precious. She left last night with a smile on her face, pink sheets and grateful, signed up for one to ones and mat classes to give her a new focus. It was yet another reminder of how beautiful this practice is and how truly special the effects can be.I feel so grateful to be able to do this." Oh my God. Ainsley, like, what a gift. You're not only giving her the gift of moving and potentially getting running back in her life, but also like something she can laugh at when thinking about her husband and not the grief that she's going through. So what a beautiful space you're holding. Ainsley is in our eLevate round four group. It's been so fun to watch her grow as a teacher. So here's her other win, "Last weekend was amazing. Thank you all. I'm so grateful. I get the opportunity to be in this group." She's talking about eLevate. "I'm excited for some space this weekend to move and practice and the homework and got to practice with JM before her trip tomorrow. My lighter mornings and nights means I can walk the dog earlier, but four clients allowing me to take a couple of extra sessions on to pay for Vegas and Cambodia. So excited to have full classes and one to ones to allow me to practice all my new learnings and curiosities. Ah, Ainsley, I'm so, like, I love this so much. I know this is, like, after weekend three and we just wrapped weekend five and it's just like, can you believe how fast the time has flown? She actually got to be in Vegas for weekend four and I get to see her in Cambodia. She's coming for the second time, which like, absolutely happens. People come to Cambodia for the second time. So Ainsley, thank you for sharing your wins. They're like so fun and present. Lesley Logan 4:26  Okay. So my win is that eLevate round four weekend five happened last week. And I am just so proud of this group of women. They're epic. They're amazing. It has, you know, for some of them, it was so much information at the beginning. It was very overwhelming for others. It was maybe not so much, but then as they've integrated it into their lives, into their practice, I've watched them have so much more confidence in their movement practice, not only as movement professional, like teachers, but also in their ability to show up and be present for others. And it's just great. And you saw that in Ainsley's win. So like, you know, her win is kind of like, that's the win I'm trying to express here. So that, just that round five has finished their fifth weekend. They're not done yet. They actually have like more time and then they get to graduate. And so of course we'll celebrate that win, but just it, time flies when you're having fun. And it's just, I cannot believe that we're already here to this 5th weekend. My other win is that we are on a summer tour. Happened. We literally wrapped round five eLevate. We taught a class in Las Vegas and then we got in the car and went on this tour and y'all like it's our 6th tour. And my, my, obviously like, we're powered by Balanced Body so it's really nice to have an amazing sponsor, but I'm also just so proud of all the toes that we worked with. They have done such an incredible job, like making sure their community comes out to these classes. And so the, the wins I have this week are more community based and more based in, in other people's coming to things, which I have no control over, but where the win in that for me, is it like, the consistency I've had in showing up day after day, week after week, year after year pays off. And if you are stuck, if you're feeling like you're doing something and it's not turning into anything, just keep going, just keep going. Sometimes you'll do things and no one will show up. And sometimes you do things and a lot of people show up and you learn from both. So you're winning or you're learning, which is winning to me. So I just, a couple of big, huge landmark wins, which are not necessarily the types of wins that I always share because I want you to think about when it's happening, not the culmination of things. But, but please, please, please share, like, celebrate everything that did happen. It doesn't always go the way you planned, so I'm not telling you that it's gone off without a hitch. There've been some hitches, but the fact that we are here on the sixth tour and we're having the time of our lives and really enjoying ourselves is the win.  Lesley Logan 6:56  So, all right, let me leave you with a little mantra. There's poetry in everything if I look for it. There is poetry in everything if I look for it. There's poetry in everything if I look for it. Are you looking for poetry today? I hope you do. Make sure you send your wins into the Be It Pod and until next time, Be It Till You See It. Lesley Logan 7:14  That's all I got for this episode of the Be It Till You See It Podcast. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
