Doch nach den vielen falschen Todesmeldungen der letzten Jahre wollen das viele erstmal nicht so richtig glauben. So oder so ist das Kapitel Denis Cuspert bis heute nicht abgeschlossen. Immer noch taucht sein Name in der aktuellen Berichterstattung auf. Zum Beispiel, als 2019 seine Ex-Frau in Hamburg enttarnt und verhaftet wird. Oder als ihm 2021 in einer ARD-Doku eine Rolle beim islamistischen Terroranschlag auf den Breitscheidplatz im Dezember 2016 zugeschrieben wird.
