#65 How to be ok, when you're not actually OK

Sometimes life is tough. No one is immune from the tragedies, trauma, and roller coaster of life. Life is a series of ups and downs and sometimes the highs are HIGH and the Lows are LOW !! For some reason, the lows seem more relevant and memorable than the highs. I dedicate this podcast to everyone and anyone who feels like their life may be falling apart at the seams. When the mornings are cold and the nights are lonely. When the next milestone, cupcake, or workout, one-night stand, or business deal, doesn't fill the void and you show up smiling (or hideaway and avoid life) but pretend to yourself and the world that you are ok.  When you feel like "no one understands" no "one cares" and even the simplest tasks become overwhelming. Look around you as you are listening to this podcast. You may be walking or driving look at the people around you and if you are at home, listening while falling asleep, or doing the housework, think of the last 5 people you saw or had any interaction with ..... While looking or thinking of these people............ KNOW THIS - At some point in their life, it's been HARD. They have experiences unbearable pain, loneliness, frustration and wrestled with their own demons.  Some are going through it now Others have in the past and some of you will in the future. We all deal with it differently. No one is immune. From Movie Stars, News readers, CEOs, bosses, workers, parents, children, athletes, musicians, shopkeepers, train drivers, the barrister.  This podcast is raw and simple.  The moral of it - if you don't have time to listen to it or happen to catch this on your Scrolling.
