När Stockholmspolisens cold case grupp tog över utredningen av Hotellmordet 2016 började man snabbt ana att mördaren fanns i öns missbrukarkretsar. Särskilt intresserade man sig för en grupp människor som inte tidigare hade figurerat i utredningen. En grupp där det fanns människor med bevisat våldskapital. En av personerna som polisen tittade närmare på var nämligen dubbelmördaren Peter Grönkvist, som 2005 brutalt slog ihjäl två personer i en grusgrop i Fröjel. Skulle han kunnat vara inblandad även i Hotellmordet? Men samtidigt hade vi börjat tvivla på om mördaren nödvändigtvis behövde vara en man. Våren 2023 hade vi nämligen kommit över ett anteckningsblock som tillhört en nu mer avliden polisman. Där hittade vi saker som tyder på att mördaren lika gärna skulle kunna vara en kvinna… Vi gör nu ett sommaruppehåll, men under säsongens gång har vi fått nya spännande trådar att nysta vidare i och vi kommer återkomma med fler avsnitt om hotellmordet.
