Dear Parents, We’re going to have a great upcoming week. Below is a short description of what’s coming up and important links and/or announcements: Watch these announcements on video here. Mr. Gray’s Class Podcast Trimester Ends February 26th, Grades on Aeries Friday, March 5th Read Across America Day March 2nd Picture Day Thursday March 4th Spring Conferences (by request only) Reader’s Workshop The kids will continue  our unit on Deep Study of Character. Next week we will look at how the setting affects characters and vice versa.We will have a quiz on Thursday which will be the last grade of trimester 2. Writer’s Workshop The kids will spend the week preparing for and eventually recording a podcast based on their literary essays and studies of character. Math Math Answers and Help Here What happened to math class? We will continue our unit on Rational Numbers. We will work on graphing, writing, and solving inequalities and the kids will have their first homework quiz of this unit on Tuesday. The homework quiz takes questions directly from their homework. This quiz will go on trimester 3 grades. History The kids will continue studying Ancient China! We will study the ancient silk road, the Great Wall, and Terra Cotta Warriors. Science The kids will work with Miss Stevens in science lab. Thank you, Mr. Gray
