84. The Messy Part of Forgiveness...

from Unrelenting Pursuit · host Brad and Lisa Valencia

Our story involves a lot of forgiveness....on both sides. On this episode we touch briefly on Lisa and what forgiveness looked like for her, but the focus is on Brad and his journey of walking through forgiving himself. Listen as he discusses the process that God brought him through and how that transformed the way he thought, and even looked at himself. He reveals how God eventually had him look at his scars in an entirely different way. We pray this honesty brings hope to wherever you might find yourself. We love that there is NOTHING that anyone can do that is bigger than what Jesus did on the cross. When we truly repent, this forgiveness is extended to each one of us sinners and our slate is wiped clean. Whether you need to forgive yourself or someone else, we challenge you to make that choice. Walk it out daily, and don't let bitterness, discouragement, unforgiveness, or anger hold you back from what God has for you. Remember this verse, “My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.” 1 John 2:1-2 NLT As always, we would love to hear from you.
