One day, out of a desire to take back the control those needles had on her life, she grabbed a sterile one, pumped it full of ink, and forced all that emotion right onto the canvas. Sharing her art on social media started out as a welcome distraction from her otherwise all-encompassing infertility journey. Today, Jamie is proud to report that she is a mother of two incredible twin boys. Seeing how opening up about her journey gave her a support system and how her art continues to serve as a form of welcome mat to starting the conversation, she just can't stop. Today Glitter Enthusiast’s mission is to educate, support, and empower all women, but especially the 1 in 4 who are going through their own infertility journey.Follow Jaimie on Instagram @glitterenthusiast & visit glitterenthusiast.comBrought to you by The Confetti BarHosted by Jessica Serra Huizenga and Alexis GoddardProduced and Edited by Cliff HuizengaGraphic Design by Jessica Serra HuizengaFor bonus content and episode info, visit: https://www.theconfettibar.com/showJoin the Confetti Club at: https://www.theconfettibar.com/join© 2023-2024 The Confetti Bar, LLC

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
