A Pastor's Prayer for the Middle East

from A Word from the Lord Inc. Podcast · host A Word from the Lord Inc.

Special Prayer for the Middle East   Gracious and Sovereign God,   We come before You today with humble hearts, lifting up the nations of the Middle East into Your mighty hands. You are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — the God who sees, the God who knows, and the God who reigns over every border and every battlefield.   Lord, we pray for peace. Where there is conflict, bring calm. Where there is hatred, plant understanding. Where there is retaliation, release reconciliation. Let Your shalom settle over cities, villages, and refugee camps alike. Quiet the sounds of war and replace them with the songs of safety and stability.   Lord, we pray for protection. Shield innocent families. Cover children who are afraid. Guard first responders, medical workers, and peacemakers. Be a refuge for those who have lost homes, loved ones, and hope. According to Psalm 46, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble — be that help right now.   Lord, we pray for provision. Provide food where there is famine. Provide medicine where there is injury. Provide shelter where there is displacement. Provide wisdom to leaders making decisions that impact millions of lives. And above all, provide the light of Christ in places overshadowed by fear.   Father, we ask that You would soften hearts, guide governments, strengthen churches, and comfort grieving families. Raise up voices of justice and mercy. Let righteousness and peace kiss in that region once again.   We declare that You are still on the throne. You are still sovereign. You are still able. And we trust You to move in ways that bring glory to Your name and healing to the nations.   Lving name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
