THE CHAIR (S1/Ep27) — A Shape Shifting Beautiful ThingHello Beautiful People, I’m Your Host Dreme. I’m a Black woman, an educator turned tech entrepreneur but still an educator. Building a platform called THE CHAIR is a Black and Brown centered tech platform dedicated to supporting people on their hair journey. You can design hairboards, connect to hair stylists, and share hair care tips all in one space for a more joyous and streamlined experience. I built THE CHAIR Podcast to highlight hair journeys. A reminder to keep creating magic. As people sit in THE CHAIR you will get more than just hair stories. You will be immersed into experiences surrounding education, entrepreneurship, and identity. I was struggling with various thoughts. How can be an educator in business school? How can I build this tech company without a coding degree? Then I met Dr. Mitchell. My heart calmed itself and I was reminded with her laughter that everything we decide to do is a journey and that difference is reminds us to dream. That our creativity humanizes us and we are working to see each other reflected within each other.
