Across the Sea

from Sean Fournier · host Sean Fournier

Every star I see tonight reminds me of your eyes and how they used to sparkle when they looked right into mine. Oh, can see them. A message in a bottle is somewhere in the sea and like the hope I placed inside, it’s floating aimlessly. Oh, I believe it, but I’m somewhere across the sea. I had hope, but then I lost it. I buried it in the sand 'cause I’ve been stranded for 6 long years and nobody knows where I am. It started out when my girlfriend left me. She had to move across the sea. So I bought a boat that I lost to a storm and I washed up on this beach. Well, you can used to crying. I always feel a little sad, but I’ll never see her pretty face again and ill never get used to that. Sometimes I lay awake thinking when the stars in my vision blur. Well, I pretend as I talk to the wind it carries my whispers to her. Oh God if you can hear me. You’re my only friend. Just one day could you calm the sea? So I can see my baby again
