Here comes today’sstory: The Exhibition

I felt greatlyhonored when I received Mr. Lou’s kind invitation to his exhibition. I havebeen acquainted with Mr. Lou ever since my daughter was one of his students inthe senior high school. He is a talented artist and a loving teacher.

When I arrived atthe Metro Station of Xiangyin Road, I couldn’t find my transportation card. Forthe first time in my life, I managed to enter the station by swiping the QRcode on the mini program named Suishenban. At that moment, I was really proudof myself for having solved the problem wisely.

About half an hourlater, I took my exit at No.2 Gate. I walked down the Huayuan Road until I crosseda traffic light, but I couldn’t find the address, which is No. 128 Huayuan Road.After checking the Gaode navigator, I went back and turned right. To mysurprise, the exhibition venue is located on Jingxiang Road while it wasregistered at Huayuan Road.

It was an artistic-lookingcommunity. When I went inside, the opening ceremony had already begun. Mr. Louwas introducing the sponsor of this exhibition, Mr. Wang, who loved photography,traveled widely, and had been living in Spain for many years. When the speechcame to an end, a bottle of Spanish champagne was opened and sliced sausage andfruits were served. I took a glass of champagne and congratulated Mr. Lou on thesuccess of his exhibition. Then I strolled around to appreciate each oil painting.

There werepaintings of objects, portraits, and landscapes. Since art is all Greek to me, Iwas standing in front of a painting of a water town that looked like Wu Zhenfor a long time, wondering why the buildings in the painting all seemed to betilting eastward. A young lady was standing next to me, so I struck aconversation about my puzzlement. She smiled and began to explain how animpression that the buildings were tilting was created when pedestrians werewalking by. By retaining that feature, viewers may shape a sense that the buildingswere dynamic rather than still.

这是一个看起来很文艺的社区。我进去的时候，开幕式已经开始了。楼先生介绍这次展览的赞助商王先生热爱摄影，广游世界，在西班牙生活了很多年。讲话结束时，打开一瓶西班牙香槟，并提供切好片的香肠和水果给来宾。我端起一杯香槟去祝贺楼先生画展成功。然后，我漫步四处欣赏每幅油画。

有静物、肖像和风景画。由于对艺术一窍不通，我站在一幅看似乌镇的水乡的画前，琢磨为什么画中的建筑似乎都在向东倾斜。一位年轻女士站在我旁边，所以我向她咨询我的困惑。她微笑着开始解释当行人走过时，周遭的建筑物是如何给他们留下倾斜的印象的。通过保留这种特质，观众可能会感觉到建筑物的动感，而非静态。
