Following up on rumours of an ex-Imperial scientist with useful information are Kitporin (the thinking sentient's Wookie); Vann (a survivor of Order 66 'unleashed' by a Dathomerian Witch); Tsenn (the lowly contractor for the ISB out for revenge on his former employers); and Halo (who hopes the New Republic proves to be as reliable a paymaster as the Rebel Alliance was back in the day). There's solid info on the scientist's location, a pincer movement that works like clockwork, and the sudden realisation that they've been played. Then ... a Force jump to a moving speeder 87 floors up ... a trash compactor explosion ...
