Join Tamara for an interview with Brittany Curry, a Savannah native who started her career as the coordinator of Oconee Area Citizen Advocacy, an organization that helps people with disabilities build a life outside of professional services. In 2012 she discovered Graphic Recording, an emerging field of documenting meetings with large, hand-drawn, visual graphics. She began doing this work during nights and weekends, and in 2015 was able to take it full-time, launching her small business, InkyBrittany.  Since then, Brittany's Graphic Recording & Facilitating work has been requested across the country and beyond. She has worked with corporations, small businesses, philanthropies, governments, public health, education, agriculture, and the disability advocacy community, to name a few. She now also leads workshops teaching others the skill of visual communication. Art On The Air Larry A Brechner | Ester Golden ART ON THE AIR is an hour-long radio show / podcast that opens with a short interview about local art events in Northwest Indiana's three county area, then continues to the long-form feature interview portion. Radio Silence Michael Rakowitz Radio Silence continues with the premiere of Michael Rakowitz's highly anticipated radio series. This special radio event will be broadcast on WPPM PhillyCAM radio and other community radio stations across the country, and distributed nationally by PRX (Public Radio Exchange). Radio Silence, produced by Mural Arts Philadelphia, first launched with a live performance on Independence Mall in Philadelphia on July 30, 2017 and a simulcast on PhillyCAM TV. The project can be seen as an alternative form of public art — trading the street corner for the public airwaves, and representation via images for evocation via voice and sound. Partners include Warrior Writers, Prometheus Radio project, and PhillyCAM.---Major support for Radio Silence has been provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage with additional support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Hummingbird Foundation. He composes music or film, TV and radio commercials. His most recent achievements include the first DTS surround encoded soundtrack for a theatre performance in Slovenia, the first DTS surround CD release in Slovenia, as well as an interest in special sound design, effects and sound sculptures.
