Author Interview - Andy Harkness

Andy Harkness is a Mississippi native and children's book author and illustrator. For nearly thirty years, he has worked in animation, including Art Direction and Visual Development at Disney Feature Animation and Sony Pictures Animation on projects like Moana, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Bolt, Tangled, Big Hero 6, and Zootopia.He won an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for Prep and Landing, a VFX Award for Outstanding Created Environment in an Animated Feature for Moana, and Annie Award for Production Design in an Animated Television Production for Prep and Landing, and Annie Award nominations for Art Direction for Glago's Guest and Open Season.-He is the author and illustrator of two children's picture books:Wolfboy (bookshop.org)Wolfboy is Scared (bookshop.org)-Thank you to Andy for joining us in Columbus for a day of fun and book readings at elementary schools across Lowndes County, and for a very fun evening creating our own Wolfboys out of Play-Doh at the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library.-Thank you for supporting Friendly City Books by listening to our podcast.
