This week’s episode talks everything allergy. Greg and I discuss why allergies are increasingly common, how scientists believe allergies develop, and what we can do to raise children who are at lower risk. We discuss recent research around the airway microbiome and on the effects of washing babies on their skin health.

Emily O'Shannessy We Are The Weirdos, Mister is a podcast (launching Oct 2017) for weirdos of all walks of life. We all have a little weird in us, and it's time we started celebrating it. Each episode will feature a guest who I consider to be cool/wacky/weird, and we'll be talking about growing up as the weird kid, the things that inspire and excite us, and the ways we express ourselves (or fly under the radar). Weird Black Chick & Anxiety Weird Black chick & Anxiety Growing up to my own Beat to my own drum, always caused tension. While being Black I was always told I wasn’t acting black enough. Being the person I am the fit in was always a struggle. Now being a woman who struggles with the daily fight from others of owning my blackness is what you will see. Being a black woman has its limitations due to not loving yourself as most say, arguing with those who say you have self hatred because you like versatility? Welp this podcast is for you! Are you that person that’s told you act or speak white come on, It’s ok to talk it out and my therapist told me so! Who's Behind The Mask? Lee Everette Growing up, I did not have confidence in myself. I was always afraid of being 'Lee'. I thought I was weird, I thought my ideas were dumb, I thought people would make fun of me, so from that, I began wearing a mask and like Shakespeare said "merely being an actor on stage".The problem with that though, outside of the obvious, is that I truly started forgetting and not knowing who I actually was. It was the most weird feeling I have every experienced. I forgot what my genuine interests were, I forgot what I was passionate about, I forgot what made me, me. So after feeling that pain for many years to come, I finally said forget it, I am going to be myself. But, another learning lesson occurred. I was trying WAY TOO HARD. I almost felt like I had to make up for lost time and I also felt, for people to 'like me', they needed to know everything.Again, on top of the obvious mistakes, I ended up trying to appeal to the wrong ones, and still was caring what others thought, way too often.
