How many of you ever got the “you've got a lot of potential speech” by someone? It was usually reserved for trouble makers and under achievers. When God looks at you, he sees your potential. God sees the future and what you will accomplish for him. God took Gideon on a long discipleship journey. When Gideon was full of faith and God’s power, Gideon went and he led his army of 300 men into battle. God called and Gideon because God knew that He could trust Gideon. God knew that He could equip and disciple Gideon to lead a revival in Israel and finally, to lead His people to victory. Gideon was a faithful disciple.
