It is not weakness or passivity; rather, it is a posture of trust that acknowledges God’s power above our own efforts. A clear example of this is seen during the “Crossing of the Red Sea”. When the Israelites were trapped between the sea and the advancing Egyptian army led by Pharaoh, fear filled their hearts. In that tense moment, Moses instructed them to “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord".
