We examine the sin of oppressing another with words, and Rabbi Yehuda Amital's analysis of God's understanding of human nature. And we differentiate between discipline and neglect when it comes to parenting, ours and God's. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law.
