being ugly

from THINK BEFORE YOU SLEEP · host THINK BEFORE YOU SLEEP

You look in the mirror and you do not like what you see. You compare yourself to everyone around you. And before you close your eyes at night, the same thought whispers: you are not enough. In this episode, I explore what it means to feel ugly — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, internally. Society defines beauty through filters, algorithms, and airbrushed lies. But the Bible says something completely different: God looks at the heart. David was rejected by his own father but chosen by God. Leah had "weak eyes" yet gave birth to Judah, the tribe of Jesus. Moses stuttered. Zacchaeus was short. Paul had a thorn in his flesh. None of them were beautiful by worldly standards. All of them were used by God to change history. This episode is not about pretending appearance does not matter. It is about realizing that your worth was never tied to your reflection. Turn down the lights, put on your headphones, and press play — because before you sleep tonight, you need to hear the truth that the mirror will never tell you.
