No tragédie zažilo aj Slovensko, v roku 2020 to bol útok nožom na ZŠ vo Vrútkach, v pamäti má Bratislava aj strelca z Devínskej Novej Vsi. Aké by malo byť zabezpečenie tzv. mäkkých cieľov ako sú vysoké a stredné školy, obchodné centrá či nemocnice pred podobnými útokmi.
