Laura reflects on the passed 53 years of her life and recounts each time that God tries to get her attention. Her very faith being tested through her life trials, she recognizes now, that the enemy of her soul was trying to derail her walk with God. Her questions about certain doctrine's lead her into what the psychology world might call an Existential Crises. With the death of her mother and other life events, her life seemed to lack meaning and she felt confusion about her own personal identity. Anxiety, stress, and depression crept in and started to disturb her normal functioning in her everyday life. She knew that God has always been at work in her life even when she was not faithful to the Lord. But she recognizes that He has never stopped loving her, pursuing her and doing His great work in her. For this, she is so very thankful. In conclusion, Laura feel's as though the burden of having to know all of the “why’s” has been lifted from her and has a quiet resolve to simply, Trust. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths". This is the beginning of her new era.
