Blood Lust and Helping People with MMA Fighter Kayla Weed

Originally recorded September 3rd 2020. I sat down with my former undergraduate school classmate Kayla Weed to talk about her love for helping people paired alongside a passion for causing physical harm to others. Kayla is an incredibly intelligent and kind person with no criminal record and a fascinating life story. In this episode we break down a stigma surrounding MMA Fighters and the notion of acts of violence being correlated with crime and being mentally unstable. She talks about her passion to work in the field of psychology like me and work with students and what it was like growing up with a family of fighters. This was one of the most entertaining conversations I have ever had. A little over two years later Kayla would go onto help me with my own mental health.
