An Odyssey Sound Session with Blu DeTiger. Blu DeTiger is the bass prodigy, singer, songwriter, DJ and producer from New York City. Growing up experiencing house music and DJs in Ibiza on family holidays to DJing around Manhatten and playing with various artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Carolien Polachek, Blu has become one of the most interesting women in music. Earlier this year, she released her debut album All I Ever Want Is Everything, featuring co-writes from Chappell Roan, Uffie, Mallrat, Magdalena Bay, Mayer Hawthorne and Alexander 23. In 2023, Blu was named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 and earlier this year, Fender revealed their Limited Player Plus x Blu DeTiger Jazz Bass®, making Blu the first woman to have a signature bass with the brand. As she touches down in Australia this week for her debut Australia tour, Roxy spoke to Blu about the songs and basslines that have inspired her music.
