BONUS: Maureen Callahan on Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney & The Women Who Were Ruined By The Kennedy Men

from Daily Dose of Dana · host Dana Bowling

Buckle up for a juicy, no-holds-barred chat that’s equal parts gossip, revelation, and “I can’t believe they just said that.” Dana Bowling and Maureen Callahan pull back the velvet curtain on Hollywood and American royalty in a conversation that crackles with energy. They spill the tea on how The Nerve Podcast blew up by refusing to play nice with celebrity PR machines, the wild backlash (and secret thank-you DMs) they get for calling out A-listers, and why the inaugural Nerve Awards are about to become the most feared (and most-watched) night in pop culture. Then things get deliciously dark. Maureen drops bombs from her bestseller Ask Not, exposing the hidden, often heartbreaking stories of the women orbiting the Kennedy dynasty, women whose lives were devoured by fame, power, and tragedy, yet who showed jaw-dropping resilience in the shadows. From George Clooney’s carefully curated saintly image to the real human collateral damage behind America’s most mythic families, nothing is off-limits. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when two razor-sharp women decide to stop protecting famous men and start telling the truth—this is the conversation you’ll wish you’d eavesdropped on in real time. Raw, addictive, and impossible to pause. Chapters 00:00 The Rise of The Nerve Podcast02:57 Celebrity Critique and Audience Engagement06:00 The Illusion of Celebrity Relationships08:58 Exploring Family Dynamics in Hollywood11:59 The Impact of the Kennedys on Women15:01 The Process Behind 'Ask Not'21:30 The Tragic Story of Rosemary Kennedy23:51 The Power and Influence of Kennedy Women27:00 The Dark Side of JFK Jr.30:00 Revisiting History: The Untold Stories of the Kennedys35:49 Jackie Kennedy: A Complex Legacy37:43 Future Adaptations: Bringing 'Ask Not' to Life Purchase Daily Dose Merch!! https://www.dailydosepod.com/storeTHANK YOU FOR THE RATINGS AND REVIEWS!!! JOIN MY NEW PATREON! This Impact Studios production is a collaboration with the Governor family, UTS Faculty of Law and Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research. The Last Outlaws teamKatherine Biber - UTS Law Professor and Chief InvestigatorAunty Loretta Parsley - Great-granddaughter of Jimmy Governor and the Governor Family Historian Leroy Parsons - Governor descendant, Narrator and Co-WriterKaitlyn Sawrey - Host, Writer and Senior ProducerFrank Lopez - Writer, Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation. This knowledge exchange workshop was part of the four months Res Not All At Once Kendall Weihe Two guys talking shop once a week. Mostly about the intersection of technology and money.
